Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi

Masters degree in Gifted Education from the William Carey University  

Masters degree in School Counseling from the University of Montevallo 

Currently Pursuing an Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology 


Mrs. Hoffman brings 14 years’ experience teaching preschool through eighth grades in the Chilton County Schools, Alabaster, Pelham, Homewood, and Mississippi schools.  Working in a variety of rural, urban, and suburban schools has prepared her to instruct students of all backgrounds and ability levels. She currently in in her second year serving as the gifted specialist at Jemison Elementary, Thorsby High School, and Verbena High School. 


Mrs. Hoffman loves teaching the gifted and talented students! It has been her passion for the last 10 plus years to teach this unique, yet challenging, group of students. She is married to Ted Hoffman who is an Associate Professor and Director of Music Education at the University of Montevallo. They have two children ages 8 and 5. Drew loves playing soccer, building with Legos, and swimming. Reagan loves to go to ballet class, tumbling, and drawing. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling to new places, listening to music, and watching college football!
